SUMMER CAMP

Mommy and Daddy took us camping up at Hot Springs. We found a great site right next to the river and it was a good way to beat the heat.

Mommy and I practiced nursing our babies while Daddy laid in the river for a while.

After a nice visit from Aunt Rach and Uncle Gordon, we had smores and Daddy took a little nap.

I had fun playing with the fire for the 1st time and Daddy said I had a lot of Gram in me. I don't feel like a Gram is in me but I think it had something to do with the smores. Does anyone know what a pyro is? Daddy kept blabbing about it all night and kept watching me play with the fire.

Lily had a great time and did really well on her 1st camping trip.

We're planning on going again soon to beat the heat. Maybe I'll get to have another Gram in me too.

Black Raspberry Season

We all went for a hike along the beautiful Laurel River to pick Black Raspberries the other day. Edie brought along her favorite berry basket and Lily got to ride in the backpack. The river was running pretty fast but it was nice to sit next to and listen to.

We saw dragonflies like this one and the butterflies seemed to follow Edie everywhere.

Daddy and Lily made funny faces.

We all had a great time and Edie ended up eating more raspberries than she brought home. At the end of the day there were only 2 raspberries left in the basket.

Off we go on another adventure!

The Lily Stockade

Daddy and Edie built this thing so that they could contain me. Now that I'm crawling they try and limit my movement whenever possible. This "Lily Box", as they call it, is pretty stout. There seems to be no way out and I'm worried about what I'm going to do when I get hungry. I don't think I can climb over it.

Ah Ha! I have discovered a flaw in their design!
