Mommy and Daddy's Anniversary

Juy 6th was Mommy and Daddy's 4th Wedding Anniversary. They tell me all kinds of stories about before I was born and the things they did together. Seeing how it was their 4th, somewhere it is considered the Fruit and Flowers year. Daddy took Mommy and I to the Botanical Gardens in Asheville. It was pretty cool to walk around in the forest with all of the plants and flowers.

This is a pretty good picture of the 3 of us. Can you guess who is having the baby sooner? Mommy or Daddy? It is Mommy. Daddy just drinks too much beer and is lazy. I still love him though and I'm really glad he and Mommy got together 'cause look at the cool things they can do with their genes.

I Made It Myself

At Story Time @ the library, Mommy and I made chef hats out of newspapers.

Daddy was very impressed with my skills in origami.

Our First Camping Trip

Here I am getting ready for my very first camping trip with Mommy and Daddy. I've got everything I need in my backpack.

We went up to Hot Springs, which is about 1/2hr from here and found a lovely sight right next to the French Broad River. I got to walk around in the dirt without shoes and throw rocks in the river. I even got to use a campground toilet. It was weird. Of course we did not take many pictures which is par for the course.

I got to help set up the tent and then we made it cozy with sleeping bags and stuff. After making a great dinner on the camp stove we went for a walk and returned to build a fire. That's when I could swear I heard the faint sound of Dueling Banjos. I could not believe Daddy let me play with the fire but he mentioned something about pyromania running deep in the family, whatever that means.

Right before bed, of all times, I got to have my very first smore. Actually I had 2 or 3 of them which made for a tough time getting me to sleep. I really had a great time camping and Mommy and Daddy say we are going a lot more over the summer especially because of all the great Parks and Forests near by. I have to go now, I'm trying to figure out these levers, buttons and triggers on the BBQ lighter.

Helping Daddy

Daddy and I spent all day Saturday cleaning out the flower bed and then went to the nursery together to pick out new flowers for it.
On Sunday Mommy helped us decide where to place all the new flowers and we planted them right where she wanted them. I used my wheelbarrow and shovel just like Daddy's. I was a big help and then I got to water the garden. I'll be sure to post again when the garden is in full bloom.

Weekend At Mi-Mi & Poppy's

Mi-Mi is always excited to have everyone over for a BBQ and this weekend all of Aunt Sarahs friends from school came over to play games and visit with each other.

This is all of us hanging out on the porch before anyone showed up. I helped Poppy pick up walnuts and put them in the wheelbarrow.

Mommy and I gave each other sweet watermellon kisses.

Aunt Rach and Uncle Gordon kissed each other too. They are fun to play with and I love them very much.

Aunt Sarah Is In Town

Aunt Sarah came out to visit for the past 2 weeks. It was so great to see her. She taught me all about fashion and hair styles and how even though I don't see her very often, she still loves me more and more each day. I got to meet all of her friends and play with Aunt Sarah almost every day. She taught me yoga and that even though boys are lots of trouble, they are nice anyway. I can't wait to see Aunt Sarah again soon so we can play and put on makeup.
